However, my aim for this newsletter is to show you how it can not only be attainable, but with some effort and focus, you could do this in less than 12 months.
You will learn my favorite way to start, grow, and scale an internet business to $10k per month or more. This includes the steps I used to go from $0 to over $25k per month in less than a year.
There are several business models that you can use to launch an online business such as creating courses, memberships sites, starting a marketing agency, and more.
However, I want to share with you what I believe to be the best business model to get started from scratch and earn six figures online in less than a year.
That model is the "Cohort-Based Course".
A cohort-based course is my favorite and preferred method for starting an online business. A CBC is an online learning experience where you take a group of students (the cohort) and progress through the course together.
You will create and have them follow a specific schedule and curriculum.
For example, "How to Master Playing the Guitar in 8 weeks" or "How to Become a Google Ads Expert in 6 Weeks".
Each week you will meet with your students live over Zoom and go over one module of your curriculum. You will record each session, then put the recordings in a members area. This way, your students can watch the replays to truly master the material.
One benefit of launching a cohort based course is you get to sell it before you actually create the program.
Here is a breakdown of the key elements of a cohort based course and how it can generate your first $10k moth.
One of the most overlooked benefits of this model, is that each time you launch a new cohort it gets better.
You will gather feedback from your current students. You will find out in real time what their challenges are and use it to improve the curriculum with each new launch.
Let's talk about the math to $10k...
When you launch a cohort based course, you can generally charge a lot more than you would for a pre-recorded self paced course.
Why? Because your students get direct live access to you each week as they go through the curriculum.
When you are starting out, I would limit the class size to 30 people or fewer. You can grow it later, but keep it small at first to make it easier to manage.
Here are some basic examples to your first $10k launch.
10 Students at $1000
20 Students at $500
30 Students at $333
Don't underestimate what you can charge.
I just recently went through a cohort on writing with Dan Koe that I paid $5K for.
If you provide a solution to a problem that your target audience wants to solve, they will pay you to guide them from point A (where they are now) to point B (where they want to get to).

P.S. If you want to study this topic more and launch a cohort-based course, I am launching a program called "The Creator Cult." that guides you step-by-step through this exact model.
It will be a six week cohort that goes from May 21st - June 25th.
This will be limited to 15 people. If you want more information, just click the button below to learn everything from how to enroll, the cost, and what's in the curriculum.
